I began my career in public education as a counseling intern at an elementary school in 1998. I loved it. I felt like I was really making a difference as we explored various social-emotional topics in classroom lessons. However, I soon discovered my “calling” as a school psychologist and have worked primarily with students (age 3 to 22) with disabilities since 1999. These students and their families have changed my life.

This blog is dedicated to the parents of children with disabilities and the educators who work with these amazing students. I hope that we will be able to learn and grow together to do better for these “more than special” kids.
